Custom software development
Continent IT develops software from prototype to an operational system. Start with the problem: who will use the product, what actions it must support and which systems it must connect to. Define the essential workflows for the first phase and discuss additional capabilities separately.
Discuss your project →Tasks to discuss
- Corporate websites and catalogs: structure, content, languages and enquiries.
- Business applications: user roles, workflows and integrations.
- Existing product development: constraints, new features and data migration.
What to include in your enquiry
- What problem does the product solve, and who are its main users?
- Which workflows are essential for launch? Are mockups, a brief or an existing version available?
- What integrations, languages, hosting and access controls are required?
What determines the estimate
Cost and timing depend on features, integrations, data migration, interface and operating requirements. A defined first phase and acceptance criteria—what a user must be able to do—help estimation. Passwords and real customer databases are not needed for an initial enquiry.
Our own project: the Continent website
Our website shows how construction, IT and travel can be brought together in one company resource. Continent uses its own corporate website to present services and materials and help customers get in touch.
- Construction materials catalog with categories, product pages, specifications and available technical documents.
- Four interface languages: Russian, English, Spanish and Chinese, with manual language selection.
- Enquiry forms across the website, contact information and the corporate email address info@continent.ltd.
Questions before starting a project
Can development start without a complete specification?
An initial discussion can start with the problem and a few user actions: for example, finding a product, comparing specifications and sending an enquiry. Next, define the first version, data and integrations. The estimate can become more detailed as that scope is agreed.
What should software acceptance cover?
Check the agreed user workflows, access roles, integrations and error handling. A multilingual website also needs language, mobile layout and form checks. Agree on source-code handover, operating instructions and ongoing support before work starts; their scope depends on the contract.
