Crack and joint injection grouting

Injection grouting addresses leaks, cracks and voids in concrete structures. Continent provides this service through its construction division in Astrakhan. Before choosing a compound, distinguish the objectives: stopping water, sealing a joint and repairing a structure require different material properties.

Tasks to discuss

  • Cracks in walls and slabs: defect description and access conditions.
  • Construction joints: identifying water entry points and the length of the affected section.
  • Injection material selection based on the objective, structural condition and sealing requirements.

What to include in your enquiry

  1. What needs treatment: an active leak, damp joint, crack or void?
  2. Where is the defect, how long is it and which side is accessible?
  3. Has it been repaired before? Are photographs and details of previous materials available?

What determines the estimate

Cost depends on the defect, access, preparation, length and scope. Consumption cannot be reliably calculated from visible crack length alone because internal voids also affect it. Estimates and timing are provided on enquiry after the initial information is clarified.

Questions before starting a project

Is every crack suitable for injection?

No. The structure material, crack width, water and possible movement must be considered. Sealing a leak and restoring structural capacity are different tasks. Signs of deformation or structural damage require an assessment first; an injection compound does not replace engineering evaluation.

How should injection grouting quotations be compared?

Check that the same area is described and that preparation, materials, access, joint treatment and follow-up checks are clearly included or excluded. Clarify the pricing unit and how additional consumption is agreed. Total prices are comparable only when the scope is comparable.
